Domino is done. Kaput. March issue will be their last.
I am devastated.
This day could not get any worse- a sick new dog, more snow and now this news.
I might cry.

Yeah this is bad news. I look forward to that magazine like I look forward to summer vacation. What am I going to read in the bathtub now!!? I guess I am going to be stuck with all the beige in Elle Decor!
Domino - the Mag and the Website are to go - horrifying.
oh the devastation! that's it... who the hell is in charge of this economy anyway? may i have a word, please?

WHAT. THE. EFF?! I am PISSED. basically the entire home section of the grocery magazine rack has been put to the grave. what is even left??? elle decor?
I really don't understand how this mag could be going out of business. So many people subscribe to it and its filled to the brim with advertisements. (And Im not even including its main content which is just one big ad anyway).
If they can't make a go, how can any magazine compete?
What??? Is this a joke? They've been pushing subscriptions on it like crazy!
I just heard about this today too. I am so sad. Looks like blogging is going to become more important than ever in "These Times."
Oh My Goodness!!! How sad to here, it's the one I really look forward to every month. This whole economy situation is overwhelming, who thought in our lifetime we would see this, it's looking so bad. WOw, it's sad.

NOOOOO!!! This is my favorite and I look forward to it every month. I thought it had a point of view that was new and fresh and would take it into the future. Are you SURE?!!!! House Beautiful, Elle and Architectural Digest...are they still around?
Thoroughly miserable. A huge void. Totally unacceptable.
O M G! What next, I mean really!
I'm with you. Confused, upset, angry, sad. So many emotions.
I am devastated by the news too and am in complete denial. To me, this is the worst closing yet, and there are many magazines I've mourned losing.
Nooo!!!!! This is honestly THE ONLY magazine I nuy.
oh honey, me too. except its my son not my dog. i really thought domino would make it.
I wish drinking in the afternoon was acceptable b/c I need it today. Wait, don't the French drink during the day? :)
The horror!! I wanted to add some of the amazing images that you posted today from Paris in my Domino Decobook. But what is the point now?? I am crushed...
This can't be happening! I keep thinking this is a bad dream. Can't we storm the offices at Conde Nast or something.
I just got a subscription to this for Christmas from my boyfriend's brother!
I'm sad, too. There's really not another similar shelter magazine out on the market today -- domino is leaving a really big hole (which I'm guessing won't get filled until the economy turns around).
Hope your day gets better soon!

I am so upset. First Blueprint, then O at Home, now this. Do you have any other design magazines that compare? Please recommend any other favorites.
Well I feel foolish, I just renewed for another 2 years. Wonder if I get my money back...
I know I just found out and wanted to see if you had posted it yet. This is such horrible news! Where are we to go for these resources now. It's getting really creepy, not to mention depressing. I'm so so sad.
I hope your doggy gets better...nothing really bad right?
Oliver has 4 parasites- very upsetting but I guess expected from a rescue dog? He threw up live worms in my living room today and I don't think I'll ever be the same after having to clean that up. Disgusting. On meds and I hope he'll be better soon.
I am so sad, I love Domino!!!
this is just devastating. and i am sorry about your sick dog, too.
thanks for the heads up! your blog is also how i found out about cottage living magagine. i am so glad i have kept every single issue of domino, and i always refer back to them. now more than ever we will rely on you to keep us informed. thank you! and sorry about your new baby pooch.
Good thing you got rid of that loaner rug before the puppy got sick. Poor little guy!
