A Bit of Bridal Vintage...

I just loved this shot of Mad Men star Christina Hendricks' vintage themed wedding- complete with mismatched bridesmaids wearing lovely little head adornments!  It got me thinking about how much I would love to feel confident enough to rock one of those for a formal event (or when I have another wedding ceremony, since you know, I wish I could have 8 different weddings...)

For a bride, this type of comb could be worn instead of a veil or placed int eh hair after the veil is removed after the ceremony.  This one is from Etsy and is adorned with a lovely little vintage looking bird and feathers (click on pic for link)
My friend Jen has a company called Ban.do which makes TONS of great hair adornments at all different price ranges- here are a couple gorgeous numbers for a bride:

And here are a couple pairings for bridesmaids- wouldn't this be such a fun, flirty, elegant look?

A Great Gift for Summer Weddings!

I've got weddings on the brain since there are so many during these summer/fall months! When shopping for gifts I always want to get something "cool" and unique. Here's a gift that shows thought and is not an expected "registry" item- personalized melamine plates from La Plates in modern, graphic prints complete with the couple's new monogram. I am adoring so many of these patterns, and at $22 each, you could get a pair or four for summertime newlyweds to use for casual dining! Also a great gift for a new mother with her baby's monogram on one paired with a sweet set of utensils or a sippy cup!

Labor of Love

I am simply enamoured with the wedding/portrait photographers Our Labor of Love. Creativity, artistry and fun permeate each image this group shoots- just try not to spend an hour going through their portfolio here. What lucky people who get to have their important life milestones captured by these creative geniuses... (and some fantastic wedding ideas for those who are planning too...)

This wedding below looks like it was spectacular! Tulips hanging from mossy "chandeliers"?
I die.

Loving the richness of the bold colors...

..and even the quiet moments sing with beauty!

OLOL also offers a "smilebooth" when they shoot weddings which looks like a perfect way to capture the silliness and exuberance of guests- filled with props and fitted with a remote to take the shots you're guaranteed some hysterical images...

A Wedding to Take Your Breath Away...

I am floored by the wedding of interior designer Kelly d'Halluin. Floored. It is one of the most magical looking events I have seen in ages.  Set outside of Paris at the Chateau de Breteuil, she combined Parisian high style with natural beauty in the most luxurious yet understated way.

Yeah, that would a couture J. Mendel gown. It makes me want to cry.
