...and wishing everyone pimped out their windows like the Parisians.

HGTV Green Home

Who wouldn't want to win a whole house- especially when it's the HGTV Green Home in Port St. Lucie, Florida? Already decorated and pimped out with all the latest and greatest in green products, all you'd have to do it turn the key (and pay the tax bill- which might be an issue!) Ahhh, never mind the messy details- I'll be entering every day anyways!
Loving the stripes paired with the white sunburst mirror in the foyer, with just a hint of animal print!

Not a big fan of the living room- looks a bit anemic for a Floridian space...

Loving this vignette with the cane back chair, natural wood table, sleek lamp and classic bust- a great mix of styles and textures!

I love this lounge space- a couple of bright chaises sitting in front of some wine coolers with fantastic throw pillows and Stray Dog Designs lamp? I'd stay here 24/7. Wino alert.

The natural wood ceiling shown here is quite something!

Loving the horse print...

A sleek kitchen

A darling master bedroom (I would have done a more fun rug-Weinrib if money were no object!)

This little girl's room is so bright and cheery- I love the mix of shades of pink and orange.

If one of you wins, can I please come visit? :)

Pre-Fabulous.
Last night I went to the Stuff Magazine party at Puma City on Fan Pier in Boston- a crazy cool movable store made from refurbished shipping containers. Traveling around the world currently, they set up this bad boy in various cities and use it not only as a Puma retail store but also a party space (there's a bar, DJ booth and two outdoor decks).

Cottage Envy
God, I miss Cottage Living.
I was flipping through the back issues I'd saved this weekend and felt a big ol' tear about ready to form.... I loved than damn publication! Looking through those old issues combined with the warm sunny weather and green things popping up in my mini-garden made me want a cottage. But I want one close enough to the city that I can still do stuff.
But I also want to be near water.
And I want it to be a bungalow with good bones.
And it has to be under half a million bucks.
Hmmmm, somehow I think if I typed those parameters into MLS a pop up would flash on screen with the words "you are a delusional idiot". So instead I played my favorite self-torture game- looking at real estate where it's actually affordable. In places like the Carolinas, Texas, Georgia, Alabama...where you can get a perfectly adorable bungalow cottage for a reasonable price and places there is probably no chance I'll move to! I spent two hours this weekend doing that, and I HIGHLY recommend it if you want to depress the hell out of yourself. :)
Anyways, some yummy images from Cottage Living, may she rest in peace (and resurface when this economy decides to leave us alone.)
