I could NOT wait to share these pics with you guys after seeing more progress at my biggest project (remember it here)!
I'm sorry, but the bulletin board made of the Chiang Mai Dragon in the pantry office is pretty freaking awesome, if I do say myself! Especially when paired with the adorable vintage chair my client found, had repainted and upholstered in a this graphic chocolate and white pattern....
Not to mention the absolutely BANANAS master bathroom. The light we picked for over the tub has yet to go in, but it looks amazing as is. I picked the sheer fabric pattern because it matched the adorable Suzanne Kasler chair we wanted for the vanity. It all came together absolutely perfectly.
And this adorable celadon Ann Sacks tiled bathroom with linen and white striped sheer looks so fresh and crisp in the guest room.
And the piece de resistance- the custom Dessin Fournier lantern that took months and months to hand make that finally went in and makes me want to weep it is so beautiful. It's open and airy yet large and statement making! I die.
And there is so much more exciting stuff to come! I can barely sit still I'm so thrilled with how this home is turning out! :)

A Mountain House Guest Room Board
My parents bought a little house up in Vermont this fall and are in the process of decorating it. My mom has one of the spare bedrooms set up with a pair of twin beds and wants it to be in a red and black scheme. So this morning I whipped together this whimsical take on a "mountain house" guest bedroom for fun! The room would be Ben Moore's Aura paint in Caliente and above each of the beds (with the black nail head Target headboards) would be the statement making paper covered resin deer heads from Etsy seller Ruby's Lounge! And guess what- you can even have them made custom with your own choice of paper! I think they would be especially darling in a tartan plain in a room like this! Click on the images for links...

Weekend Project Sneak Peek- Living Room Re-Do
This project is almost complete so I'll wait to show the full before and afters until everything is in, but I wanted to share a few detailed snaps of it since I'm pretty excited about how it came out! Re-using a lot of the client's antiques and furniture and getting crafty with accessories, we worked to make the space reflect their more modern sensibility without having the room look vastly detached from the rest fo the traditional decor in the house.
I am loving the peacock blue bookshelves we did, with these yummy inlaid shell knobs from Anthropologie that you can't see in this picture! And this antique ram's head chair that we re-upholstered in turquoise zebra is so fabulous.

More to come in the living room (lamps and more pillows, plus hanging of the art) but the mirror was a great online find as were the antique Indian wood screens a shop turned into coffee tables! A luxurious fabric found a discount fabric store went on a pair of chairs, accented by a faux bamboo folding table the client already had in another room.

The crafty part? The client did not want to spend a fortune on custom window treatments, so instead I suggested she get these great silk ready-made panels by JC Penney and add a GORGEOUS Kravet ikat trim to them. We ordered an extra panel and had a workroom turn it into a roman shade as well. Saved a ton of money and looks custom!
Can't wait to show the full before and afters in the coming months!

Project Sneak Peek!
Thanks to your survey, I heard loud and clear that you guys want to see more of my work. Seeing as the projects I've completed thus far have been small and not photographed, it's been hard to show what it is I do. But some of my larger jobs are starting to come together and/or finish and so hopefully I'll have lots more to show you. I stopped by one project yesterday and the progress I saw made me SO giddy I just had a show a couple snaps of the work in progress.
This pantry is beyond words. Perfection. I could not be happier with it- from the light blue walls to the herringbone Ann Sacks tile.
This powder room makes me shriek with glee. The Katie Ridder wallpaper and Mini George chandelier in combination with the marble and elegant sink....I want to put an air mattress in here and sleep over. I could not be more pleased with how this came out! (Not: scones still need shades, in case you were wondering) :)
The backsplash came out better than I could have imagined as well- the morroccan window tile in grey-blue was something we pondered over for a while and then went for and MAN did it pay off!!!
A peek into the (unbelievably lovely) grasscloth walled dining room and a tent lantern from Colleen & Co. that makes me smile whenever I see it!
Just WAIT until I can show you the children's rooms.... they are beyond!

Party Down
While I still have a few more days until I am officially 30, Friday night we had a party that celebrated my next decade of life. The pink and orange theme made for a festive, warm look that I think came out really lovely. I went to the flower market and grabbed bunches of single variety flowers in the colors I chose and used various vases I had collected over the years wrapped in print wrapping paper from Paper Source and wide hot pink ribbon (a really easy and cheap way to dress up a basic vase!)

The lanterns I had purchased were supposed to be hung outside on the patio in the trees but alas, mother nature was temperamental that night and it rained (which lead me to almost start my own chorus of "it's my party, and I'll cry if I want to...) But with some ribbon, a helpful pal and hubby and a little creative thinking- we found a way to use them!

Wait, what is that on her cake, you ask? Amazingly enough, it's the zipper front Jimmy Choo shoe that I blogged about a month or two ago! And hilariously enough I had chosen to wear my BCBG knock offs of that exact shoe that night! Karen at Babycakes made the cake for me, and now I KNOW she's a true blog fan! What attention to detail!!!! I loved it! (And yes, my nickname, thanks to Andrew, is Frog. Long story...)
Other signs people read your blog- when your presents arrive wrapped in the party theme colors! :)
Andrew gave a WONDERFUL toast that both made me laugh and cry...
I think everyone had a great time (I know I did, I was still recovering even yesterday)
You know I had to bust out some 30's bling with a age appropriate tiara (with the lovely Audra of Looc and longtime friend Elyse)

I don't think I ever showed you my new West Elm rug...adds a graphic element to the living room...and the patio where the party was SUPPOSED to be (damn you New England weather)
My boys were SO well behaved.
But at one point Oliver needed a time out and was caught by a guest hiding amongst some pillows...they think it was because I emasculated him with a pink ribbon collar. :)

In the kitchen I used paper flowers from Luna Bazaar over the bar table and of course, had to but fun paper goods in matching schemes (love, LOVE the zebra napkins)

I wore a fantastically comfortable Rebecca Taylor dress that I love (did not take a pic of the ensemble, but this shows the most of it...) The dress even has pockets (which every girl can appreciate) and will look cute belted with a cardigan come fall!
