While at the gala dinner the night before my dad snagged this magazine that was available, Connecticut Cottages & Gardens. In it, I saw a great looking ad for a shop called Dovecote in it, so I decided to check out their site! Ahhh, so lovely. Again, the sort of shop I hope to own someday- a mix of art, jewelry, books and fantastic furnishings! Opened by former buyer for Barney's and Neiman Marcus, Sarah Kaplan, it clearly exudes style and an eye for putting things together. And who doesn't want this to be part of their job: "Traveling to Paris and the south of France six times a year, she finds the best antiques, from Bagues to Napoleon III".

Here are some images of the reading room they did for the 2006 Hamptons Cottages & Gardens Idea House- more zebra! This girl is my long lost twin!

Yum! I love this whole store. The coral all together is lovely. I love all the animal print.
I was picturing what I would wear if I worked here, because I'm weird like that. A black wrap dress. Yellow sandals. My hair would be in a little beehive type hairdo with a black satin ribbon. Told you... I'm weird.
I have been to the store live - fabulous!
What a great store and beautiful design work!
Wow! Wow! Wow! I love it all! And the coral is unbelievable!
Wow, I would love to go visit this shop!! What a great store.
i want to say almost all of her lighting came from Visual Comfort (one of our biggest suppliers), so your readers can find them at www.wshome.com or http://www.circalighting.com/
What a gorgeous store! One of my dreams is to own a store like that some day.
Annie, a lot of the lighting does look like VC. My husband works for them. :)
I love the zebra print and the great green(?) wall color in a lot of the pics. This would be a fun store to visit.
